Any questions?
You Can Find All The Answers Here
How long do I have to sharpen the blade before my knife is sharp?
The time required for sharpening with the Knivedge™ Sharpener depends on blade condition and steel quality. On average, it takes just 60 seconds for the first sharpening as the edge adapts to the 15° or 20° grinding angle. However, thanks to the consistent grinding angle, only a few quick rolls are needed for effortless resharpening!
How Long Do the Diamond Discs on the Knivedge™ Sharpener Last, and Where Can I Get Replacements?
The discs on the Knivedge™ Sharpener are built to last for years with regular use.
In the rare event that you need a replacement, we’ll send one to you for free! Simply email us at support@knivedge.com, and we’ll take care of it
How can I change the grinding discs?
Hold the Knivedge™ Sharpener firmly with one hand. With the other hand, turn the grinding wheel in the opposite direction to remove it.
After replacing the wheel, attach it back to the roller grinder and tighten the screws by hand to secure it.
How can I clean the diamond and ceramic discs?
To remove grinding residue of the diamond and ceramic discs, cleaning with a pencil eraser is sufficient. If necessary, the diamond grinding disc can be unscrewed and thoroughly washed in warm water, with a little washing-up liquid and a brush.
How do I sharpen knives that are higher than the sharpener?
To grind particularly broad blades, where the cutting edge stands higher than the grinding disc, elevate the sharpener with a suitably thick cutting board to ensure contact with the cutting edge is within the radius of the diamond grinding disc.
Do I sharpen my knife with the 15° or 20° angle?
In principle, kitchen knives of any quality can be sharpened at 20°. However, depending on the condition of the blade and the quality of the steel, many knives can be sharpened to an even finer edge at 15°.
